Obituary for Emil "Joe" Erhart Jr.

CATTARAUGUS — Emil “Joe” Erhart Jr., 89, of Cattaraugus, passed away Wednesday (April 11, 2018) at home.
He was born Sept. 6,1928, the son of the late Emil Sr. And Mary (Winner) Erhart. On April 21,1947, he married the former Barbara Lou Slayton, who predeceased him on Oct. 22, 2000.
Mr. Erhart owned and operated Joe’s Builders in Cattaraugus for over 40 years.
He was a member of the Cattaraugus Vol. Fire Dept. and was an original owner in the Wildwood Pool in Cattaraugus.
He is survived by three sons, Edward (late Deloris) Erhart, Patrick (Sharon) Erhart and Roger (Cindy) Erhart, all of Cattaraugus; and two daughters, Dianne Eisenhardt of Cattaraugus and Beverly (Tim) Fluent of Richmond Hill, Ga.; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Edna Booth of Cattaraugus; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his loving wife he is predeceased a brother, Robert Erhart; and three sisters, Ruth Erhart, Margaret Cooper and Marie Ashley.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday (April 16, 2018) from Liberty Park Cemetery in Cattaraugus.
Memorials May be made to the Cattaraugus Ambulance Service, Cattaraugus Memorial Library or Homecare and Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley.
